Want to wear your favorite clip-in Remy hair extensions without having hair that looks cheese? Here are 10 amazing and super-easy ways to look natural and elegant while wearing extensions!
1. Bouncy
This one is a cinch. You blow-dry your natural hair and your bangs and then clip in your Remy hair (check out how to find the best clip-in extensions!) from ear to ear. Then, gently blend them with your own hair by twisting it into its bouncy curls. Finish the look with a faux braided headband of your preferences. Now, if you want some glam to it, then why now clip an eye-popping hair accessory (something that sparkles, perhaps?) on top?
Tip: To create the braided headband, pull up your “Tousled (and, of course, long)! (Hairstyle #5)” look and secure the hair with a clip. If you want a slightly messy look, you can leave out a few ends. Slide on the Indian hair extensions (braided headband) and pull out some curly piece to frame your face.
2. Long and Straight
Again, blow-dry your bangs to the side. Spray with some hairspray and clip in straight virgin Remy hair extensions under your crown. Gently brush both the hair and extensions so they blend and, if you want to give your look even more style, create a French braid on the other side (opposite your bangs). Don’t go all the way up, though. Stop at the ear.
3. Ponytail
Brush your hair and create a middle part. Spray lightly with hairspray (strong hold) and then backcomb the crown with a round brush. This will help you create volume and lift. Make a bun at the back of your head and leave some pieces free to frame the face. Curl those pieces with your curling iron and clip a curly ponytail piece on top of the bun you have created and voila! Who will know that your gorgeous, voluminous pony tail has a secret so well hidden!
Tip: Alternatively, you can make a high pony, too. Spray the top half of your own hair with water and secure it into a high ponytail with the help of some strong-hold gel. Clip your Remy hair extension (ponytail) on top. It should be wrapped around your own ponytail to give more volume and a more polished look.
4. Side Bun
Secure your natural hair into a side ponytail and wrap the ponytail around its base. This will help you create a bun. Make sure you secure with some bobby pins and clip a bun virgin hair extension on top of the bun you have created with your own hair.
Variation: If you are more into the more romantic hairstyles, then you can create a curly bun. Pull your hair to the side and wrap it up with an elastic band to create a messy bun. Clip in a flower hair accessory and ta-da!
5. Tousled (and, of course, long)!
Curl your own hair with a curling iron and brush the curls to make waves. Spray with some hairspray (flexible hold) and clip in your wavy Indian hair extensions (why Indian virgin hair?). The best way to clip in your extensions is from below the ears and work your way up to below the crown. Usually, you will need 4-5 pieces for the entire head. Once done, comb the extensions with your fingers into the waves of your natural hair.
