All You Need To Know About Colored Hair Extensions: How to Make the Best Choice

February 23, 2022

image 4Hair extensions have become a huge hit and are much loved by women that want to impress with a different look every day, add more length and/or fullness and enjoy luscious hair from day to night, all year round! Other flirt with the idea of having hair extensions to protect their own hair from dying and other chemical procedures offered as sacrifices in the altar of beauty. So, if you want an ombre look that is rocking right now, you can just ask for hair extensions in the color you wish!

But, what if you need to choose the hair type that will best highlight your femininity and bring out the femme fatale you really are? Should you get colored or un-colored Remy hair?

Un-colored Virgin Hair

Always hand-picked in its natural state, virgin Remy hair extensions are the purest and most unprocessed hair you can get. It has been carefully cleaned and, of course, comes in all the natural hair colors you know existing. If you are naturally dark haired and don’t tend to change your look much, then this type of hair is ideal for you. It’s also super easy to maintain and, since they are uncolored, you can dye it to a color of your likes. Note, though, that you’ll have to get it re-installed every couple of months or so, depending on the use.

Colored Virgin Indian Remy Hair

This is the case when you want to order hair dyed to a preferred color of choice. It’s the same virgin hair, but offers real choice if you fancy a tailor-made service. Know that coloring is the only treatment made to this hair and should be delivered to a premium standard. Otherwise, you run the risk of wearing unflattering hair extensions.

If all goes well and your provider is a trusted professional, the hair can last up to 6 months and, in some cases, even longer, depending on the color you have selected. Again, you’ll need to have it re-installed every couple of months (and sometimes as early as 6 weeks). As for maintenance, it’s quite low. However, note that you can’t dye the hair to a different color as this hair holds the color for life. Now, if you want to dye the hair, better go for un-colored Remy hair and make sure you give the treatment and care necessary to be certain you’ll enjoy your fancy locks for long.

Note: your computer might make the hair color look either a bit darker or lighter than it really is.

So, always search for hair that is photographed in natural light, although the best thing you could do is visit the provider (or a hair salon) and try some out, until you find the perfect one, especially if you want something in the shades of candy pink, purple and other fab hues trending right now. Now, if you know the color you want, you can ask to have it delivered to you. Most colored hair extensions are industry standard shades, which means that they match standard hair colors.
