The Best Hairstyle for Your Favourite Clothing Pieces

October 20, 2012

You know that moment when you finally get the perfect outfit together and you stare in the mirror wondering, what in the world to do with your hair? Sometimes depending on what you pick to wear for the day or night you may choose various hairstyles to suit your choice in clothing. For fun here are a few examples of key clothing items and the hair style that might go perfectly with it.

1.)    The classic mini skirt: Miniskirts can be downright deadly, just ask that guy staring at you as you walk down the street on your cell phone as if you don’t know what you are doing to him. The classic mini skirt shows just enough leg to ensure that you still look classy and sexy all at the same time. You can’t get too fussy when wearing a mini skirt because it is often considered a statement piece. With that said, how can you style your hair to fit your skirt? What about an easy breezy pony tail. Gather your hair into a low pony tail or one that is set just high enough to give you a little swing. With a classic hairstyle it fits perfectly with your classic mini and doesn’t take away from that ‘legs for days’ thing you are trying to create.

2.)    The strapless maxi dress: Maxi dresses are a fun favorite because they are oh so comfortable and look great all at the same time. Because they are generally long women often pair them with flats or sandals for added comfort. Question is what do you do with your hair? How about beach waves? Nothing says effortless like gorgeous beach waves especially if you are rocking long extensions.  An easy way to create beach waves is simply braiding the hair in a number of braids before bed and releasing the hair the next day. Other ways include Bantu knots, or using a hair heat wand tool to loosely curling the hair to create waves in your extensions. Now if its summertime and its super hot and you plan to spend time in the sun, try a loose messy bun to fit your laid back style, messy buns keeps the hair off your shoulders and works perfectly when taking it easy.

3.)    Boyfriend Jeans – Boyfriend jeans are known for their loose fitting appearance and can be dressed up or dressed down depending on what your goal is for that day. Either way a single braid can work perfectly when rocking boyfriend jeans. Longer extensions allow for longer braid options either to the side or straight down in the back, both ways are great because they add a little femininity to the loose fit of the jeans.

4.)    Formal or semi formal dress for an evening dinner party – No matter the type of dress you pick the hairstyle that best fits the occasion is often a classic up-do. Creating an up-do is really a personal thing and might not look the same from head to head. It is the perfect chance for you to get creative with your hair while maintaining a classy look. Hairpins not only become your favorite accessory but your ultimate best tool when creating a classic up-do.
